Hello. We are Robert and Candice Fox. We created this blog for people who want to follow us as we thru-hike the Appalachian Trail. If you don't know what the Appalachian Trail is, we will let our favorite online resources tell you most anything you need to know. Just click on the blue stuff.

Hello World. Consider this our formal introduction. We are Robert and Candice Fox – two newlyweds from Michigan wanting a little change in our lives. So what do we do? Quit our jobs, sell everything we own, and go for a little stroll through Appalachia.

Our attempt to thru-hike the Appalachian Trail (hereby referred to as the “AT”) should take us anywhere from 5-6 months. As we cover the 2,184.2 miles from Springer Mountain in Georgia to Mount Katahdin in Maine, we will be experiencing everything from some amazing adventures, stunning scenery, and inspiring camaraderie to painstaking terrain, treacherous weather, and warding off animal attacks. Okay, slight exaggeration with the last one… hopefully. Because of this, we should have some pretty interesting stories. Lucky for you, we will be chronicling it in our blog for the whole world to see. Sit back, relax, and enjoy The Fox Tales.

CanJon I am so proud and amazed that you have taken this on with Rob!! Congratulations on taking such a leap of faith with your partner in life! This will be such a great experience to build a marriage on. I will be enjoying my showers a little extra in your honor and will try not to complain so much about my trek to Austin in May! Love you!
